October, 2025
It's hard to believe, but October is already here! With fall in the air, I hope everyone has settled into their school routines. Don't miss out! There's a lot happening at GCHS, so be sure to check the high school and GCPTA websites and social media for the latest announcements and events.
The GCPTA High School volunteers have been working hard in the school. I'd like to thank the Photography Volunteers, Alison Kfuri, Fern LeLeonnec and JaneEllen Logler, led by Lauren Jacoberger, for their seamless photo days. A big thank you also to the Freshman Bash committee, led by Jenny Tzakas Polizotto, for creating such a memorable event. And to Brooke McHugh and our Parent Volunteer Corp, thank you for your assistance with school events!
The Trojan Nation painted the town maroon and white as Spirit Week built to a show-stopping Homecoming. The theme, “I Belong to the Trojan Nation,” rang through pep rallies, PTA poster contests, and Spirit Day shirts worn across every school. Senior athletes and band members returned to their former schools to lead cheers and announce the contest winners, while the Garden City PTA Spirit Committee worked tirelessly behind the scenes to deliver a week full of energy, tradition, and community pride. Special thanks to all of the High School Volunteers who worked to make the High School Class themed cars and float amazing! Check out photos of the parade:Homecoming Photos
The Back to School night and the first High School PTA meeting were both well attended. If you missed our meeting, you can find the audio link on our site. Events to look out for at GCHS this month…..
