PTA Upcoming Dates and Meeting Info
  • March Evening PTA Meeting - 7:30PM - MS/HS Joint PTA Meeting - Speaker - Jill Madenberg - Author - “Love the Journey to College”
  • March 13th - 7:00PM - Dr. Stephen Dewey - The Effects of Substances of Abuse on the Teen Brain - Dr. Stephen Dewey is a neuroscientist and research professor who will help parents and students understand the science behind the impacts of alcohol, marijuana, vaping and prescription medication on the developing teen brain. In his talk, Dr. Dewey will describe the direct effects of various drugs of abuse, including illegal drugs, on brain metabolism and chemistry.

PTA Annual Dinner NEW! - PTA Student Volunteer Corp. - Like PTA Parent Volunteer Corp, students will sign up to provide assistance with PTA events as their schedule allows. An email will be sent to students who have signed up, which will indicate the number of students needed. Those that respond first will be signed up to help with the event . Community service letters will be provided to each student that helps with an event. If your child is interested in having their name added to the list please have them email Ronda D’Antonio at

30 Practical Things Students Need to Know Before Heading Off to College- How many of these skills does your child know?

One School/One Book - This it the second year that the high school is taking part in this program. The book that received the most votes this year is - Refugee by Alan Gratz. The GC PTA is happy to be providing over 200 copies of the book for the many teachers and students that chose to participate this year. You can find information about One School/One Book on Ms. Calemmo’s website. There will be a book discussion and party has been changed to March 14th.

HS Happenings - Activities, Collections, Drives
  • Fashion Club - Annual prom and formal dress donation drive. Our drive will start in February and end in April.
  • The Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) - Sneaker drive in the spring to benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters of America. The drive will begin in February and end in April.
