Calling All 2012-2013 Volunteers!

It is that time of year again when PTA directors of each school start to gather volunteers to help with the many jobs and responsibilities the PTA handles; from school board positions to class parents.
Research shows that in schools where parents are involved, students have increased test scores, increased grades and better school attendance. It is also a great way to network, meet parents and sharpen some skills. Please consider volunteering your time.
See below which school board positions are available this upcoming school year.
If you are interested in getting involved, please complete the Volunteer Form found on the PTA website at http://www.gardencitypta.org/forms/volunteer_form/ (or go to Forms... Volunteer Form). When filling out the form be sure to put the position you are interested in the comments area.
Class Parent Lottery: If you are interested in being a class parent you must check the box next to the appropriate school and grade (for 2012-2013) and indicate your child's name. Please enter your cell phone number at the top of the form as well. The lottery takes place end of August and you will be notified immediately whether home or on vacation.
Please submit volunteer forms by JUNE 15th.
