School Budget Basics
If April showers bring May flowers, what do May flowers bring?

The School Budget Vote!

Who: You!
When: May 21, 2019, 6 a.m.- 9p.m.
Where: Garden City High School gymnasium
Why: Because YOUR VOTE COUNTS.

If parents of children in our public schools don't vote, who will?

Know before you go. This year’s ballot contains FOUR propositions:
1. The 2019-2020 school district budget.
2. Permission to use remaining funds in Capital Reserve 1 ($1.8 million) for outlined capital projects.
3. Permission to establish a new Capital Reserve ($15.8 over ten years) to pay for various proposed District-wide building projects. Think of Capital Reserve as a savings plan for capital improvement projects.
4. Election of two new Board of Education trustees.
